Apostle Islands Lighthouse Photos
The images for sale on this web site are a series on the Milky Way and the
lighthouses of the Apostle Islands. The first was taken in 2009 of Outer
Island lighthouse. A second in the series was taken of the Sand Island lighthouse in 2010. A third image of the Raspberry Island lighthouse is available that was taken in 2011. The newest image is that of Devils Island Lighthouse taken in 2012.
The photos are the brainchild of Mark Weller and John Rummel who have created the photos to honor the memory of Martin Hanson. Martin had a great love for the Apostle Islands and was instrumental in Congress's passing a bill creating the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore in 1970.
The proceeds from the sale of these prints support The Friends of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. Our mission is to promote an appreciation for and preservation of, the natural environment and cultural heritage of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore.
