On March 3, 2006, Friends Chair Ruth Goetz &
Park Superintendent Bob Krumenaker
announced two programs new to the
Apostle Islands National Lakeshore.

1. Apostle Islands Recreational User Fee Proposal

2. Apostle Islands Voluntary Passport

There is a very interesting & obvious
relationship between the two programs.

But for this site, it is the Voluntary Passport, that oval
sticker appearing at the top right corner of each page,
that sets apart those who show appreciation for the
Apostle Islands with dollars and labor, 
from those who do not.
